Time for update.
Monday - Had match against Evergreen Secondary. Our team won the first match 25-4. But we won the second match 25-18 only. I had a bad performance, hit a free spike out... Missed Hui xin's birthday party. ARgh!% ^%#@^

Tuesday - Chinese debate at canteen, dunno why i signed up to be contestant but i did anyway. Heard my Scholar Schoolmates talk until so chim, i down there scared, i wanted to say something, but didn't know what to. So Gillian hinted to me to say something about why (the topic: Students regard results over moral values). Haha so i anyhow answer, tried my best but stuttered.. Still it was quite fun and exhilarating. After that i went to get my Shadow Master's deck with Pei xuan. It's great! really smooth good feel, and best design, however its quite difficult to handle cause its too slippery too. Must train!

Wednesday - didnt do duty at recess, camped in classroom. ARGH! must do! training after school was a super drag. slept at 9.30pm, earliest in a long long time.

Today - woke up at 4.50am to study first. Studid alittle bit b4 heading to school at normal time. I did my duty at recess, was quite fun, although its solo. Then during assembly, Mrs Ho told me that i am the vice-captain for Jaguar this year - a pleasent surprise! I wonder who captain :o. So yea. Then after school had to stay back to do maths corrections. took 1 hour + to do corrections for just 3 questions -.- Then went to SRR to do the remainder of my duty with wen zhi and jia wen, played Dai di there, quite fun too. A maths sucks though.

I also need to be more appreciative of friends... haiz...

I have just been promoted to Student Leader yesterday. I got my tie. With it symbolises something else - a new beginning. I wasted enough life in primary school liao, corrupted by vulgarities i wish i never knew, then i wont say it. I would have had a much better life. But no use regretting on the past and wallow in misery. Because the present and future is all that matters now isn't it? yes, the past still holds beautiful and pleasent memories though, which i hold dear to my heart, forever. With a new begining, also comes a new attitude, and lifestyle too. I must absolutely not use vulgarities anymore, someone please come and scold me or wadeva if i say any, seriously, thanks :). And i shall not guai lan people so much. Or so i will try my best to. So many wonderful things happened last year. And i am regretting that i didnt record down all the memories that took place. So heres an update of the past 12 days which i did not update. But first i would like to describe my 'fashion sense'. 70% of my shirts are from events.

I shall list them down:
From 2009 to 2011(January) numbers are 'sections'
1. 5 xms jerseys: Umbro black, FBT white, FBT black, FBT blue, current one FBT red.
2. Church: No Matter What Church camp T shirt, Frontline Youth camp T shirt, Live out Loud camp T shirt. LoudFest 2010 crew T Shirt. Spark Camp T-shirt: Battle of Wushu Clans
3. XMS: 2009 orientation: I Hero. 65th Anniversary shirt. Movie Marathon T shirt. 204 Class T-shirt. 2011 Orientation: He who endures conquers.
4. Basketball: AND1 Jersey, 2 suits of BAYZ jerseys.

I think got a few more, but these are all i have at the moment. 16 shirts from 2years and 1 month, quite a good collection ah? maybe i shall try to collect more again this year. Then next year too. By the end of JC can collect quite alot liao :).
Then again i have also been interested in one more hobby: card flourishes. Its like doing tricks with a deck of poker cards like fanning in out, springing cards, cutting decks in different ways and stuff and it looks real cool. Currently i'm looking for a cheap but decent deck (preferably Bicycle) so i can practise for real cause my current deck is a free one which comes with a pack of coffee powder -.-. And so it doesnt really spring or faro, let alone fan well. But it is quite decent for begginners. i'll be looking to get a pack for about 3-4 dollars. Anyone got recodmendations? Maybe i will get the Shadow Master deck, it costs around $10, but hey, it looks cool and if i can do those flourishes then its worth it. Maybe after it's 'used' i can use it to play dai di, it looks damn cool after all. I wonder where i can get it :O.

So heres some updates.
16 January: Went cycling with 106, about 11 ppl turned up for this. First we met outside XMS, then spent about 45 mins waiting for people. Then took the payar lebar mrt route to East Coast. We cycled for 2 hours but didnt really get very far due to factors like my bicycle chain dropping. We stopped several times alont the way... We started cycling at 12.10. Until 2.10pm. Then went for lunch at Macs after finding out bowling costs $4.50 a game -.-.

So yea quite a tiring day. But the stops didnt make it so awesome after all. I hope ppl in 106 had fun, sorry for lousy planning too... Still hope u all had fun ba, i will try to organise a few more in the weeks to come ba.

19 January: Had a match against Sembawang at 2.00pm. Left lessons early and missed physics lesson. We won 25-10, 25-12. I played in the second quarter but only won a point but it was still a great game. Then went down to continue to play basketball. Red bull effect made me feel high and energetic. Then spent about 20 mins doing maths before going up for more training. Jumped like crazy, at the end leg cramp. for about 10 mins cannot wear shoe. aches the next day on several areas of body.

21 January: Above post :)

22 January: Spent most of my time today procrastinating and learning card flourishes, but didnt perfect any, however my spring improved alot. Then went to Church at 4pm, slightly late, but the message was really good. I think it is really meaningful to my life at the moment, so i shall try my best to keep it in mind. Tomorrow i dunno what to do though.

Fell down while running for bus 2 days ago. Now nursing some serious abrasions. Damn, looks like i gotta miss the first north zone match because of it, hope i recover soon, the signs arent really very good. Class is great and quite fun, altho during these few days i keep sleeping in class cause not enough sleep, i should break this habit, i dun want fall into the pit like last year again, then dun study slack all the way liao. My goal is to. be happy :) haha! Today was a fun day. After school went out with 204 ppl to go eat lunch at macdonald. Shouted the moonlight bay cheer all the way while xiang hao and ben telling me to shut up. But it was fun. Then had a meal there, chatted a little bit here and there ~~. Quite tired now, eyes have slight burning sensation, but i shall stay up a little late today ba! Maths homework sucks, i dunno how to do all the questions.

Couple of things happened over last few days which made me want to change my attitude. Firstly i should not be saying any vulgarities, then i should be keeping a lower profile and not be so loud, and thirdly i should not be such a solo-kia in basketball. So yea, hope i can keep these 3 things in mind to be a better person.

The 'moonlight bay' cheer is stuck in my head, but i only know some parts of it, i hope someone can come and teach me, then i play basketball that time can use as cheer! :) LOL.

Theres also alot of homework and a few tests in sight too. i will probably fail my english diagnostic tests and wind up in REC, but its actually not a bad thing, REC can help improve my english, so i dun really lose but gain something instead.

I should be talking more to new friends in 306, get rid of the awkwardness too! So yea, shortupdate...

Orientation:
Biggest thing on this week. Woke up at about 5am everyday to study first then reach school by 6.30am for briefing. Lasted from Tuesday to Friday.

Tuesday morning:
Got up at 5am for the first time on a school day, did QT and studied Geography for a little while, put on my long pants for the first time then left home at about 5.55am. Met Clara at the bus stop and we chatted for awhile, since we were both mentors of 106 too. Reached school on time and had a briefing.

Flagraising: Went to my Inox class: 409, pretty nervous standing there for the first time holding up a class tag. I saw many familiar faces though, some people came to say hi and ask if i am really an SLT. Saw my schoolmates in long pants for the first time, i need time to get used to it :X. New principal gave a speech and dismissed the sch. I brought my Inox class up to their class.

Inox experience: Came into the class feeling pretty nervous and unsure. Explained about Inox, then did introduction with 409. I want to visit them again :(

106: Went down to my mentee class of 106. Had a first look around the class. As expected, they were pretty quiet, some looked quite scared. Handed out the nametags. Then we played some icebreakers like the name game and blow wind blow, didnt take long for the class to start bonding already :)

Discovering Xinmin 1/Lunch/Mass dance: Class starts buzzing already, really good sign :) Tried to not be pai sei during mass dance and hype my class up.

Dismissal and debrief: Quite tired at the end of it all. But looking forward to the next day!

Wednesday morning: Same routine as tuesday morning

XO photoshoot: Brought the class down to the com lab, by now the class is quite chatty liao :) they bond so fast! Talked and joked with some of them there

TD survey: Brought class to comp lab for a TD survey...

CCA selection 1: CCA selection for volleyball, spent some time there trying to play but mr loo didnt allow us as he was afraid it would scare the sec 1s. Found some potential volleyball players but some are not interested to join though. Played a little bit with Aderic on the girls side of the hall though. Then went down to class, where the were playing BANG, they seemed to have alot of fun, so they asked me to join, if i lost i must do forfeit. So i played and got 5th. So i had to do a forfeit, which was decided to be 10 honeys??? I prefered to have do pushups though, so aslam and marcus were joking about sitting on me then ask me do pushup. I failed XD. So then i asked them if they wanted taupok me, they were more than ready, so i asked them to bring me down. Luckily i stayed my ground. I think i did honey to stef, yun yu, and some girls in 106. Pai sei~~.

Lunch: Went down to grab a bite, i think.

CCA orientation 1: Aesthetics groups put up a great performance each!

CCA: went for CCA from 3.30 - 6.30pm... Then went home, A great day overall

Thursday
Morning: same as the previous days.

Amazing race briefing: had amazing race briefing, found out that i was one of the mobile stations, happy and sad at the same time though.

Recess: Grabbed a bite...

Amazing race: Spent some time briefing 106 and splitting them into 4 groups. Then got them to the hall where they will start the race. Found out that i wasnt a mobile station liao... I took Group 1/A of 106.

Our class started 2nd. For my group we went to choir room first, but there were too many people so shen yan asked us to go to other places first. On the way to the pond, we met eugene and fauziah the mobile stations, they asked us do chicken dance, but it was super awkward... so we didnt relly do it well, then since it wasnt going anywhere, eugene told us to do a cheer instead, so we did a simple and loud 06, 06 clap clap cheer and got 2 ice cream sticks Then our group went to the koi fishes there (school pond). couldnt figure out what Behind a SEA of books mean. There sock hwee told us to play broken telephone, we used a notebook to write all our birthdates there then i arranged them accordingly. failed halfway as i thought april before march -.-... oops. Then arranged them according to height. Gained 1 coloured ice cream stick! We then went to library as we thought that was where behind SEA of books were. turns out we were wrong... (i myself forgot where it was, despite being briefed thrice about it -.-) We then went to caged wind (sports hall) when we realised that we lost Dylan on the way... Im so sorrry Dylan. Panicked but still completed the station at the sports hall. We then went around school finding Dylan, scared get disqualified sia. Then i will really be very ashamed of myself. First we went to the hall, where adhoc told us the hall was on fire, so we left and went to library, thinking Dylan might be there. Turns out he isnt. As we came out, we saw Shenyan talking to Dylan on the second level outside the hall. Waved to him and then we met up with him. Luckily Shenyan only took our coloured ice cream stick! Thanks! Then went up to sports hall to hui xin for a bonus, where we were given 20 seconds to look for ice cream sticks all over the entrance to sports hall, we didnt find any though XD. but she gave us 1 stick as consolation prize. Then we went to outside choir room( clue was a unison of a million singers) where there were question sheets. The answer was on the instruction sheet... rule number 10. Cant remember wat it is, something like the answers are on the choir notice board, go ahead and copy it. The rest of the questions stuck around the place was quite pointless, in order to distract us de. They asked questions like. COunt the number of steps u took from level 1 to level 4. Then add 537 to the number, divide it by something, those kind. There we found out that time was up. Did a final cheer in front o Shenyan and Jem to earn 2 sticks, before proceeding back to the hall, i think my group has the least number of sticks with just 10. Im so sorry 106 group 1/a. I screwed it up for u all D:... Please accept my apologies.

CCA selection 2/3: CCA selection 2, boys had choir, while girls had chinese dance and badminton. I brought the boys up for the choir selection. They were commenting on the La-la-la-la-la in which they were supposed to sing at the pitch of the piano keys. They were laughing about it. Then brought to boys back down to class for Some finale prep...
Had some trouble deciding what to do for finale prep, but we decided to use the YOG song, the oh yea oh yea oh yea hey one. practised for awhile before girls came back, we divided them into 3 groups for what we going to plan to do on stage. practsied yet awhile more then dismissed them for lunch. CCA selection 3. Boys were free, so we did some more of the dance, got wei li's laptop around half of it to play the YOG song. When some of the girls were released from badminton we practised again... Then we got marcus and Aslam to lead some cheers for the class before the YOG song for our finale in order to fill up the 5 mins minimum time. We formed the class cheer, the north south east west cheer! Voice was quite hoarse at end of it..

Dismisal and debrief: pretty tired at the end of it all, cca selection 3 overran so we started debrief at about 5. Slept through half of it in the AVA room as i was quite tired

Friday(finale day)...
Morning same as the others...
It rained like on thursday so no class tag duty, and we went to level one to meet up with some 204 ppl, then went to mentee class.

finale prep: Continued with finale prep, we decided to use the Who is the champions? 06 is the champions! cheer after the YOG song to fill up the 5 min requirement. We then practised the cheers for a few times together since we did not have a laptop yet to play the music, we also played hang in between to fill up some time as we waited for a laptop. WE also tried to sing the YOG song and do the dance since we did nt have laptop avalaible Finally got Kha sim's one! Then we continued practising... FInally we got it all done up. i wrote a script for the main frontline people, since we had a formation while on stage. it Would be a semi circle, with a line of ppl in front, then another line of ppl in front that will actually lead the cheer. So yea, that was our plan. In between there was a HWA talk, during that time, i went around school talking to ppl :) Then brought fried rice and ate it under the teachers table while stefanie was on the laptop...

Discovering xinmin 2: Learnt some more cheers like moonlight bay from justin and qi xuan... Then went down for lunch with justin and then prepared for CCA. Talked at the table with a few other awesome ppl while lunching.

CCA: from 1.30 to 4.30 ... quite fun... skipped cca orientation 2...

briefing for finale and giving out orientation T shirt: came back into class wearing the new orientation t shirt which i have grabbed from SLR on the way after training, changed into it. met Qiannong outside 106. Then went in and talked to the class for awhile, voice was really hoarse at that time liao... tried to hype them up to do well on finale night. Talked to them for awhile as i would be leaving early that day, so i only had some time left. Then we practised our finale for a few times... MArcus's voice was hoarse so i smuggled a strepsils for him as he was one of the front ppl. Some confusion about the shirts... Then after they have changed, we brought them down to 408 where they put their bags and were gathered there b4 dinner. Talked to them for awhile, felt like crying, cause those 4 daays really meant alot to me, so much memories. but held back my tears. Then had dinner of nasi lemak, marcus and i and others at the table were passing chicken wings around... LOL!! :) Then gathered the class and sent them up for the finale.

FInale: Big time. When we entered the hall, parents were already there, got our class to sit down and i sat in front of them. Then had a Date with Dad talk. XD. Then it was time to do our job. First we enjoyed performances from 101-104, then we had a cheering time in between of adiji yell and gako the frog, then 105 went up, and then it was our big time. On stage, tried to hype them up for one last time while getting them in position for the big moment. As the curtains opened, i started to lead the cheer along with the front ppl, then after that had the YOG dance, then finally ended off with more cheers. Heres how it went

FP - front people(people leading at cheer)

FP: 06 oi!
Class: oi!
FP: 06 oi!
Class: oi!
Fp : 06, 06!
Class: sup sup oi!

FP: We are going to do our class cheer, are you ready!!
Class: Ever ready!
FP: We are starting in 3, 2, 1.
FP/Class: NORTH, SOUTH, EAST, WEST, 06 is the best!!! 06!
06, 06.. clap clap x5

FP: since we are so hyped up, lets do the YOG dance!
WE do the YOG dance to the music...
Oh yea oh yea oh yea hey! shouted my voice out during the cheers. But
continued shouting my voice out even during the song, tried to get the
class to sing louder with me

Dance ends...

FP: Lets do more cheers!
FP: Who is the champions?
class: 06 is the champions!
Fp: who is the champions?
class: 06 is the champions!
FP: who never loses?
class: 06 never loses!
FP: who never loses?
class: 06 never loses!
9 claps.....
06!!!!

Then We did the 3 cheers for 06!
Screamed my voice out, at the end of it, my head was pounding, but i did not feel pai sei on stage or anything, instead it was really very fun! Had no voice after that, zao-xia-ed 50% of the time, voice was really down and bad. IT was GOOD! Then brought my class back to their position to watch 107 and 108 present. After that then we had the mass dance, SLs were to go on stage. so i readily took up my position with yang en. haha It was really fun, first time i really felt like dancing in my whole life. Dance was never my cup of tea, but we really had fun. Then went down and watch a video of the whole orientation. Then sadly... i had to go home. But it was a great day after all, a day of memories! I shall do the second part of the reflection another day, today is just recounting events!
